Description

The Boom Team L from HEAD brings explosive power with sensational feel to a racquet suitable for beginners to intermediates or players looking for Boom's easiest playability in a very light frame.

The Boom series is founded on an entirely new shape for HEAD racquets anchored by a technology called Morph Beam which merges an elongated box beam shaft with a powerful head for improved feel and performance. The headsize at 107 square inches provides a focus on power and comfort, great for players who need the racquet to provide a little more power with a bigger sweet spot so they can focus on improving their control. The racquet's weight is quite light and so will provide players with a faster moving frame for easier access to swing speed to generate power and spin as well as enabling easier manoeuvrability for improved volleys and net play. The balance is less head light than the other Boom racquets and so will add a little extra stability and punch back to the overall experience, an adjustment usually required by the lightest racquets. The beam width, being slightly thicker than the heavier models of the Boom series will enable a little extra stiffness for added stability and energy transfer on off-center hits.

Apart from the Morph Beam tech, HEAD has also used some of their top technologies in the Boom series. HEAD's Auxetic is an adaptive technology that optimizes ball feedback depending on where the ball is hit on the stringbed. The Graphene technology is being used to strengthen the frame for enhanced stability and power. Combined with a few other technologies, the Boom series brings it all together in a truly modern racquet that performs at a high level.

The Boom Team L is a great choice for players who don't have the strength or consistency for one of the heavier models and are looking for Boom's standout feel with specs to meant to maximize racquet assistance for a comfortable and consistent game.

Strategically positioned in most of HEAD's racquets, Graphene strengthens the frame, provides greater stability and optimises energy transfer from racquet to ball.
  • Uni Pattern
The specially designed uniform string pattern allows for a consistent ball trajectory on every shot for reliable and forgiving play.
  • Morph Beam
The unique frame construction merges an elongated box beam shaft with a powerful head for the perfect blend of feel and ease on court.
  • Directional Drilling
Directional drilling combine increased power and sweetspot, delivering a plush impact feel.

Brand logo stencils are not applied by default with stringing services. If you request brand logo stencils, please note that a stencil is painted onto the strings within a brand's stencil and may wear off over time - this is how stencils are applied on tour. Depending on the string you select, the stencil paint application fullness, colour and visibility may vary.
Adult racquets generally do not come with covers. To protect your racquet, we recommend getting a racquet bag.

Product specs such as weight may vary slightly from racquet to racquet to what is advertised due to the manufacturing process.

Grip size palm measurements for tennis racquets

If you fall somewhere between the measurements, it is recommended to choose the smaller grip size as you can always build the grip size up using an overgrip (for a slight increase) or a grip build-up sleeve (for a half or full size increase). The grip measurements above factor in the pre-installed factory grip.
